Timer for arcane echo
Now i am just asking for a little tool that would greatly help anyone who uses the mesmer profession, Primary or secondary. many casters will take mesmer secondary soly for the skill arcane echo. however something that has always bugged me about this skill is that it is imposible to tell when it is about to end. so all i am asking for is a little timer, that once you have echoed a spell (so that now echo is replaced by it) it will start a little timer countdown icon of the skill. This would just allow you to know how much time you have left before the skill runs out and would be a good benifit with little work (I think)

The timer is already there. yours would probably be on the top left hand corner, as I have customized my screens
sample:
I was trying to help, if this offend the poster, I extend my apology, as for sarcastic non-constructive remarks. BLEH.

He's asking for a timer when you've already copied a spell. Reading comprehension is key.

Just renew the arcane echo skill box in corner of the screen when the skill is cast. Then again, that may be hard to do with an extended enchantment weapon...will it extend the length of time the skill is echoed?

No, but it will extend the period of time you have to echo a spell after you cast Arcane Echo.

I think that there should be no timer because when you try to cast a spell and the copied spell is disabled, that's just one of the flaws of the skill that makes it a little bit more fair.

Eh /notsigned Just because I've gotten so used to playing before they had progress bars on regular skills/conditions, that the odd ball archane echo doesn't bother me.
Memorize the recharge time of the skill you are trying to copy. Use that to eyeball when it will end.

It's a great spell that's the same as an elite (except echo has faster recharge or something), so one of the cons of it should be not knowing when you are about to change the spell.
And besides, so many people have gotten use to it it'd hardly really matter.

I normally use as reference another skill with similar duration.
But they could make an effect skill appear in the effect monitor.

Yeah I know the reasoning behind the request, but my idea would be to renew the Echo enchantment effect icon when the next spell is cast, but that would mean that the Echo is re-applied, and if that happens then the extended enchantment weapon will affect that...if it's coded so that the echo ends when the timer on the "renewed" echo ends, then it will end up extending the time you have access to the echoed skill.
It would have to be more complicated than merely renewing the enchantment effect icon and using that as the timer.
